A therapeutic consultant can be the extra guidance to help during a troubling and
stressful time of navigating treatment. We will be the honest knowledge, unbiased
representation and an unwavering advocate.
Why would you want to use the service of a Therapeutic Consultant?
We help make a complicated and confusing process into much more of a straight line process.
We are objective and educated about crucial and timely decisions.
We do the traveling to programs to have inside knowledge to decipher and curate in order to recommend best options.
We help nurture a very stressful time with guidance and attention.
We will place your loved-one with the best fit program.
We will place your loved-one with the best fit therapist.
We are able to be unbiased and clear-headed of which is often too difficult when it comes to our own children; especially when in a crisis.
We remove the burden of the parent needing to quickly become the expert in treatment programs; all while trying to navigate the crisis, a disruptive household, low on sleep and low on emotional reserves.
We get calls returned and answers given; treatment centers and clinical teams like working with therapeutic consultants.
We (many of us) have been through this process ourselves; resulting in natural empathy and care.
Most of us will guide, support and advocate not only throughout the detailed process to treatment, also throughout your loved-one’s complete stay.
We know that often times the program’s best interest is their own program. We are objective. We can remove the element of you getting misled.
We recommend and guide in continuing care options, if needed.
We have no financial ties or personal motivations with programs. An independent therapeutic consultant will always be unbiased.
We meet with executive directors, clinical teams and step foot into programs for 2-3 hours at a time, on a regular basis. A website is just design, words and photos and can often be different than the real thing.
We have a network of other therapeutic consultants to collaborate and stay closely in-tuned and up to date on the rapidly changing information.
I personally, have high standards and criteria for programs. I only recommend programs that:
Do not practice or treat in a punitive manner.
Their clinical team is experienced, passionate and are high in “heart and soul”.
Are managed tightly.
The grounds and residences are clean and well maintained.
I have a personal texting and call relationship with the executive directors and clinical directors.
I have personally visited.
Will treat each loved one as the individuals of whom they are.
Treatment plans are not “cookie-cutter”. They are creative and individualized.
