Boys don’t do things they don’t feel like doing;
Men do things that need to be done regardless of how they feel.
Boys are disrespectful to those they don’t like;
Men treat people with respect, even if they don’t like them.
Boys ask how to do something before they try;
Men try to figure it out first, and then ask if they need help.
Boys don’t think they have to follow rules they don’t agree with;
Men understand that they don’t have to agree with the rule to follow it.
Boys are mean when they are angry;
Men express their anger without being hurtful.
Boys wait to be told;
Men see what needs to be done and do it.
Boys do things wrong if they think they can get by with it;
Men do the right thing even if no one is looking.
Boys deny when they are wrong;
Men admit when they are wrong and accept responsibility.
Boys shy away from hard work;
Men accept work and see it as a way to become successful.
Boys expect adults t o give them things;
Men see things as something to be earned and appreciate gifts.
Boys think others are supposed to do things for them;
Men look for opportunities to help and serve others.
